NATURAL DISASTERS HAPPEN

 

Your Sheriff needs the experience and wisdom to professionally handle large scale natural disasters.

5 years ago, a tornado hit my community. Over 300 homes were damaged and 1500 families were displaced. Thankfully, no one was killed. 

I was the Chief of Operations in the Emergency Operations Center coordinating the community’s response to this disaster. I witnessed selfless efforts by first responders and the community!

The coordination included; search and rescue efforts, coordination of public utilities, damage assessments, security for the damaged homes, communication with residents and the media, temporary housing, Emergency Declaration, assistance with insurance claims, and damage clean up.

I look forward to using my experience to make Boundary County safer!
