I have known Jon for many years when he served with the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office and I’d served as Sheriff of Pierce County. On several occasions I have consulted him for his expertise and advice.

I value not only his technical knowledge but also his balanced judgments, strong ethical sense and the respect he shows for the law and for the personnel under his command. He understands that the criminal justice system must be not only fair and just but also strong and effective.

I strongly support his election to the essential office of Sheriff of Boundary County."
