Weekly Recap: February 18th - 24th
This week, I met with our fire and emergency service leaders. Thank you for your commitment to the safety of our communities!! I am excited to improve upon the services the Sheriff’s Office provides to you, your volunteer firefighters, and our citizens!
Yards signs are being distributed throughout the county. Please let us know if you would like signs(s) and we will get them to you. If you have a perfect place for a larger 4’ X 8’ sign, let us know.
Friday night, Bonners Ferry came together at Mountain Springs Church to support Kyle McNeill’s battle with cancer. Kyle, Rachel and their family were blessed with prayers, encouragement, and generous donations. Kyle’s message was one of hope, peace, and salvation. Another highlight was the bidding war for Joe’s beard to be shaved off…it went for $2,200!! Donations can continue to be made at

I wrapped up the week with Coffee and Conversation @ The Mill Cafe and Bake Shop in the Moyie Springs Store. I’m thankful for the opportunity to share my experiences, knowledge, skills, abilities and how I plan to bring and use those in the Office of Sheriff.
Thank you for the additional donations and endorsements! Please continue to share your experiences and thoughts about Jon VanGesen for Boundary County Sheriff, an important decision for the future of Boundary County!
THANK YOU for your support!
