New Law Will Help Combat Drugs in Boundary County
New Law Will Help Combat Drugs in Boundary County
Yesterday, Idaho House Bill 406 was signed into law by our Governor. Trafficking in Fentanyl will carry strict mandatory minimum prison sentences.
Additionally, Idaho was one of five states in the Nation which did not have a law regarding delivery of drugs which result in death…now we do! The new laws go into effect July 1st, 2024.

I am thankful our legislators, with strong support from law enforcement and victims’ families, have given us a tool to combat fentanyl in Boundary County and hold deadly drug traffickers accountable. My commitment as Sheriff is to continue to make our county safer!
