GUILTY - Finally Justice for the Careaga Family

In January 2017, four members of the Careaga family were shot and killed, 16 year olds Hunter and Jonathan, and their parents Johnny and Christale. Not a day goes by without thinking about this horrific crime.

Today, a jury found the three killers GUILTY.

In May 2017, I was a Lieutenant for the Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office and transferred into Detectives. Along with the INCREDIBLE TEAM of investigators and prosecutors, I helped coordinate the mass murder investigation. In June 2022, three suspects were arrested, the Bandidos National Sergeant of Arms, his brother, and a local chapter Sergeant of Arms.

I share this with you for a couple reasons;

We never gave up on the pursuit for justice for the victims and their families, and to share the resources and expertise required to solve a complex, major case.

As your Sheriff, I will ensure we use whatever resources we have at our disposal to seek justice for our victims and their families!!
